Hi There!

I am looking for something that perhaps will make my life easier when
I estimate the final cost of my products. Here is my thought:

The cost of my products is defined by let's say 10 parameters. I want
to be able to use a program/software that will give me the posibility
to predifine those paramaters.

For example. I sell marbles. Let's say the marble is the well known
"Thassos Marble"

Parameter A: This marble type comes at 5 different qualities, each
ones has different prices.
Parameter B. It comes at 10 different dimensions as standard.
Parameter C. It has another 10 surface elaborations
Parameter D etc....

One use of this programm will be for my own estimations of selling
prices as well as cost prices.

However I also want to be able to send this application on a CD to
potential customers. Where they will enter their selections and an
estimation of final cost will be produced automatically (given the
parameteres I will have already setup for them)

I thought of using Excell but is not really presentable, and its also
quite difficult to set up all those macro functionalities for it to
work. I looked a bit on the web and the only close thing I found was
at this web site

http://www.aitechgroup.com/web_pages/web_price_estimate_calculator.htm

The end question... Is there such an easy to use software? What are my
options? Anything relevant would be of great help!

Clarification of Question by gt2004-ga on 19 Feb 2006 18:38 PST
Just to clarify things, I will use the following example:

The marble cost is described as Euros/m2. That price as I described in
my original question is calculated based on several parameters. I could
actually name them.

1. Quality (low--->high)
2. Quantity (small--->large)
3. Dimensions (small--->large)
4. Surface Elaboration (unpolished--->complicate)

The highest price would come with a combination of

1. Top quality
2. Small quantity
3. Large Dimension
4. Complicate syrface elaboration

Accordingly the lowest price would come with the vice versa combination:

1. Low quality
2. Large quantity
3. Small Dimension
4. Unpolished Elaboration

I need a software/application that will allow me to adjust the
parameters according my own values and estimate the final price which
will most likely be between the highest and lowest possible.

Many Thanks
George

Are you looking for a custom application to be developed for you, or
to find an existing application. I'm a software developer and could
create the application for the right price. I would need more
information than you currently have provided.

I am looking for an existing application that will be able to use
variable parameters in order to calculate the final cost of a
products.

The marble cost is described as Euros/m2. That price as I described in
my question is calculated based on several parameters. I could
actually name them.

1. Quality (low--->high)
2. Quantity (small--->large)
3. Dimensions (small--->large)
4. Surface Elaboration (unpolished--->complicate)

The highest price would come with a combination of

1. Top quality
2. Small quantity
3. Large Dimension
4. Complicate syrface elaboration

I need a software that will allow me to adjus the parameters according
mty values and estimate the final price.

Thanks
George
