hi google
i have a website
i want to capture my homepage so i can print it on a poster...
i downloaded software that does this called "solid capture"
with it i can highlight any part my homepage (in my browser) and save
it as an image eg: j-peg and other formats etc....
i want to know if there are any better programmes that do the same
thing but are better eg: that save the screenshot without losing any
quality and or colour...
thanks

dillonthomas-ga,

How large of a poster are you printing? what, exactly, about the
print is unsatisfactory to you, in terms of its quality?

There are a number of factors that go into getting a good (or bad)
print of a screen image. The quality of the initial capture is
certainly important, but there are also many other things than could
be contributing to a bad print.

Some alternative screen capture options have been suggested (below).
Give them a try, and then get back to us to let us know if you're
still in need of assistance.

Good luck,

You have a couple of options.

1 - You could use a program like snag-it
http://www.techsmith.com/snagit.asp. this would allow you the same
capabilities as the program you are currently using.

2 - You could use a function built into Windows. You hold down the
shift button while hitting the Prnt Scrn button (usually at the top of
your keyboard). This will copy your entire screen to the clipboard
which you could then paste into word and crop or into paint - or any
other image editing program you have.

Hope this helps!!

DT --

You can do this simply by just using CTRL-P (CTRL key and P, pressed
simultaneously) in most Windows operating systems.

However, if you want to capture an image of the screen and save it,
many programs will do it. I routinely use Paint Shop Pro because of
its simplicity for this task. You can download a trial version:
