I am in the UK. I want to buy a coach (ie like this http://www.yellowstonenationalparktours.com/images/Coach%207.gif ). What models can I buy that run on evironmentally friendly fuels, e.g. electric or hydrogen? How much are they? Where can I buy them? |

Have you considered biodiesel. Little or no modification of standard diesel engines are required. Yellowstone has actually trialled biodiesel as an environmentally friendly option: http://www.nps.gov/renew/yellbio.htm http://www.nps.gov/renew/npsbiodiesel.htm Life Cycle Inventory of Biodiesel and Petroleum Diesel for Use in an Urban Bus A Joint Study Sponsored by U.S. Department of Agriculture and U.S. Department of Energy http://www.nrel.gov/docs/legosti/fy98/24089.pdf General biodiesel information: http://www.biodiesel.org/ Biodiesel availability in the UK http://www.biodieselfillingstations.co.uk/ |

That looks like the most practical solution. I question whether electricity or hydrogen to power a large coach is truly environmentally friendly when one considers their production. |
