I need the brand name of the ski suit Pro Freeskier Simon Dumont wore
at the X-games. The x-games appeared this Feburary (most recent
competition) . The suit had a drop-waist, and was a bright green and
brown union suit with a fur lined hood. There are pictures at

Simon is sponsored by Salomon...

Based on the video of his performance at the Xgames available on this
site there is clearly a Salomon logo on the left edge of the hood of
the jacket.

Haven't found the model yet but this should narrow the focus.

I wrote to Alison Berkley who covered the Games and commentted on the
'catepillar' suit...

She says that it will be part of Solamon's line up for next year. Not
available yet.

The folks on this message aboard seem to agree that the suit was
custom made by Oakley and not available to the public until next year.

tutuzdad....

That thread is from Jan 2005...last years games and is describing a
red suit with green pants. The question is about this year's suit
which can be seen in the video link I provided.

Sorry. I should have been clearer. Let me restate that:

Here is a message board in which members are discussing Dumond's suit
in 2004 and they seem to agree that the suit was custom made by Oakley
and would not be available to the public unil the following year.

Assuming the same is still true, here is a photo of Dumond wearing
what appears to be the suit YOU are referring to with what is clearly
matching Oakley eyewear.

Here is also a video of Dumond wearing the suit you are referring to;
again, wearing matching Oakley eyewear.
ESPN.COM

I agree that it isn't proof, but it certainly seems to corroborate
what the people in the message board said about his apparel in 2004.

You decide.

TutuzDad-

Got it...

Reviewed email I got from Alison Berkley and confirmed...she didn't
actually confirm the company to me, only that it was exlusive and not
out yet.

Also...this story here
http://www.aspentimes.com/article/20051224/XGAMESNINE05/112250014&SearchID=7323605410997
confirms as of Dec 2005 that his clothing sponsor IS Oakley and not Salomon.

(In my defense, if you look at the video link I provided and look at
the logo on the side of the hood, it could be a Salomon or an
Oakley...damn circular logos!)

(Link to Oakley Logo:

So...as a final answer I would agree with you: Oakley and not
available (based not on the board discussion but on my discussion with
Alison Berkley who covered the games for espn)
