Well, others may balk at what I sometimes do when called upon to do a
quick fix -- just knock of all refs in the registry, then delete the
files manually. There may be instances where this can cripple a system
but it?s always worked for me so far. Times are when one really has to
do that as a first order fix because the internet connection has
become too unusable to download ?fixing software?. You may be left
with residuals after that but it?s just another bit on non-functional
DNA, so to speak.

Thanks for the idea but have already tried that. There really isnt
any references to this 'spyware' in the registry files. It points to
system32, but can't find the file. Have tried both Ad-aware and
Spybot to no success...by the way, working on a 2000 server
platform...

Nasty. Found a few links on the web -- perhaps from you too. Since you
are a ?digger?, you?ve probably tried doing a ?contains text? search,
just in case. Also listing files by date to find oddities. You?ll know
about hidden files too. Sorry can't help more but good luck.

Hey guys,

Thanks for your help. I took the easy way out and did the great
FORMAT C:....wiped everything out and now am in the process of loading
the software back up. A pain in the a** but I was sick of the
multiple pop ups and slow performance.
