I CONSULT WITH SOME INSURANCE COMPANIES ON ADVERTISING. I PAY A
SERVICE OUT OF ARIZONA THREE THOUSAND YEARLY TO ACCESS THEIR WEBSITE
OF SOME SIXTY THOUSAND ASSOCIATIONS AND THEIR AD RATES. I KNOW THEY
DID NOT PUT THIS TOGETHER. THEY HAD TO EITHER STEAL IT FROM SOME ONE
ELSE, GET IT FROM AN ASSOCIATION OF ASSOCIATIONS, OR THE GOVT. THEN
THEY RESELL IT AT A TREMENDOUS MARKUP. MY QUESTION IS....WHERE CAN I
FIND A LISTING OF ASSOCIATIONS IN THE UNITED STATES WITHOUT HAVING TO
PAY TOO MUCH FOR IT. I'VE LOOKED AT ASSOCIATIONS ON THE WEB TILL MY
EYES HURT AND CAN'T FIND ANYTHING MUSELF. THANKS, RANDY |

Hello Randy, and Happy Holidays.
It may be possible to find a low-cost list of associations, but NOT
with their add rates.
Are you looking ONLY for a list of associations, or must it also
include rate information?
And if it's only a list of associations you need, what are you
after--just the names, or mailing information, or....????
Let us know.

Randy,
Thanks for the kind words. It's a two-way street, you know. We
appreciate having you here at Google Answers as one of our esteemed
clients.
As for your associations question, I've been wondering what the best
source of information for you might be.
There are commercially-avavailable lists that can be purchased in
several formats (CD-rom, print, online access) for around $600. They
provide tens of thousands of association records, a typical one
looking like this:

well, this one is very important to me if you can help......when i was
in business we advertised in a great many trade and association
magazines...there are tens of thousands of them...such as....the
american bowlers association...the american vegetarian society...the
retired navy officers association...the blood horse breeders
association...and on and on....they worked because no competition
advertised in them and if they did, we'd just find another one...the
book we used to buy and the service we currently have lists tens of
thousands of associations, with location, telephone, email, annual
dues, and ad rates....can you find me something like this for less
than the three thousand dollars im paying now...thanks, randy

Happy new year, Randy.
Quite possibly we can find an alternative for you. It would help if
you could tell us what web service you're currently using, so we can
compare it against other possibilities.
