I am looking for information that could shed light on the potential
market for Participation TV. There is a lot of information available
on Interactive TV - but this is NOT what I am looking for. Interactive
TV is commonly associated with technologies such as digital
set-top-boxes that utilize a return to channel to achieve "red-button"
interaction. Participation TV represents a type of TV format where
viewers can participate using diverse technologies such as SMS,
internet sites and telephone. Participation usually takes the form of
voting.
I am trying to assimilate information regarding the existing TV
participation market and its expected growth including:
1. Number of TV-shows that involve audience participation.
2. Rating figures for these participation shows (and references to
sources where updated information can be extracted).
3. Number (or percentage) of TV viewers (and optionally demographics)
that participate in Participation TV-Shows (from total viewers).
4. The technological means they use to participate (%SMS, %telephone,
%internet, etc.).
5. The number of TV-households that are connected to interactive TV
services (and here I AM referring to the technologies) and the
percentage of those that utilize the return to channel for using
interactive services.
6. Revenues in 2003-2004 for the above listed data.
7. Trends and forecast information (for up to 5 years) for the above listed data.
I would like to have this information segmented geographically (for
example: USA, Europe, Asia?). The more detailed the better (I can
always aggregate!).
Thank you in advance for your assistance. |
