Question ID: 44781
My question is:

How can I get Google to listen?

First, I have written Google 3 times about this problem and each time
I get a technical answer - I wait for the results to change - but they
don't. This problem has been going on for about 7 months. This
particular Webmaster has Google's Ranking System figured out and is
"clouding the results" - It is not fair.

To better understand the question you will need to do a search under a
couple specific terms ... Search terms are:

ghr15, ghr-15 and ghr 15

When you do a search under these terms on the first page or two of
results (unpaid) you will find a number of sites that link back to
one another and a "Mother Site”, with keyword loaded urls they are just one and
two page web sites. The same Webmaster owns them all.

I did not list the offending url(s), but I am sure you will discover.

How can one alert Google to the unfair practices that are obviously
being employed by this Webmaster? How can I get Google to listen? How
can I get the results the Consumer should be seeing?

Thank you for your time and efforts,
Reno Kid

Just to clarify ....

I have emailed Google 3 times about this issue and each time Google
has responded (sent links, etc) ... and each response was tech stuff
about their page ranking system and how each sites, etc. etc. etc. -
Common info available on Google without emailing anyone .... Yet the
sites still remain and now that aol is pulling Google it compounds the
issue.

My Question Remains: How can I get Google to listen? What channels
would I have to go through to get this issue resolved, besides the
standard submit your comments links available from Google?

Thank you

PS ... I do understand about keyword loaded urls and meta tags and the
like ... and ... I understand and have been using overture (goto) and
have Grandfathered bids at 1¢ ... So I am not "raw" to the web .... My
Question remains ..... How can I get Google to listen?

These are 'doorway pages' it still happens quite a lot. They also have
a lot of fake links at the bottom of the pages too. Strange why Google
have not responded.

From what I have seen, when Google figures out the type of scheme
described above, its proponent ends up paying a heavy price.

Well, I can totally understand your
frustration 100%... BUT

You are not realizing a couple of
things... #1 all the domain names.
They had to purchase 30+ to get
the kind of results they got. And
Google's engine recognized that,
so... they got good rankings. That
means someone could buy 50 domains
and get higher ranking then those
people. That's ok... don't you think?

Next thing is... the text is all the
same, but the domains DO NOT go all
back to one place like you said. They
obviously are the same company, but
someone had to make up a page for each.

Both of those items are well within
common practices of the net. Not the
fairest thing in the world, but it's
their Karma ;-)

Google will come up with a way to
disregard these abusers eventually.
You'll have to get used to it til
then, sorry...

Dear Reno Kid:

I understand your frustration and would like to point out that those
"same text" sites to which you referred have one thing in common: they
all have ghr15 in the domain name. Do you have the "ghr15" in your
domain name? If not, purchase a domain name BEGINNING with ghr15.
Domain names with a keyword at the beginning of the site name rank
better than ones without it, no matter what the keywords or keyphrases
in the metatags. So perhaps choose "ghr15portal.com" or
"ghr15newfacts.com" etc. This way your domain name says "This site is
definitely about ghr15."

Also, be sure to include "ghr15: in your metatag keywords AND
description (at the beginning of both), but do not use the term ghr15
more than three times in your keyword/keyphrase string. And be aware
that Google only spiders sites a few times during the year so it may
take awhile for your site to be included in the Google listings. Also
try searching http://www2.google.com and http://www3.google.com for
your site as they ready the new searches online that way before they
are released to ://www.google.com (a friend in a web group
imparted that info - cool, huh?).

Another thing you may do is visit Overture.com and purchase the
keyword ghr15. I checked the price for you at Overture and it is
currently going for $4.51 per clickthrough - that's very high but
buying keywords is an option some find financially rewarding. In June
2002, these were the Overture numbers for "ghr15" (how many time the
word or combination phrase was searched):

11790 ghr 15
 155 ghr 15 distributor
 141 ghr 15 risk
117 ghr 15 anti aging formula
65 ageless life solution ghr 15
 54 ghr 15 antiaging formula
 49 ghr 15 canada
 41 pure ghr 15
 40 ghr 15 supplement
 35 slow aging ghr 15
 34 does ghr 15 work
31 ghr 15 wholesale lowest price
 29 ghr 15 wholesale
 26 logan enterprise g

I hope my domain and keyowrd suggestions help you to position your
site on the first "ghr15" search page at Google. Should you feel this
information has assisted you greatly, I will be happy to claim the
fee. As far as Google returning your emails, be patient: They are a
solid company who really wants fairness and accuracy in Internet
searches. I am certain they will eventually address your queries.

PS Though I'm not certain about the www2.google and www3.google, the
sites do work. Also, expertlaw is correct in stating "From what I
have seen, when Google figures out the type of scheme described above,
its proponent ends up paying a heavy price." Playing fair will work
to your advantage.
