Can someone please define The term "impact solution" as it refers to asteroids?

Hi citizena,

An "impact solution" is a theoretical model that predicts that an
asteroid will collide with the earth.

The problem in this context is predicting the future motion of an
asteroid, based on astronomical observations.  A solution is a
mathematical model that makes specific predictions about where the
asteroid will be when.  An "impact solution" is one that predicts an
impact with the earth.

I was not able to find an explicit definition of this term on the web.
 I induced the one above from studying various web pages on this
