The rules probably depend on the court involved (whether federal rules apply or the rules of a given state). If you can locate the right set of trial rules or rules of appellate procedure (from the website of the state government, for example), the rules concerning subpoenas may well be under the heading of "discovery." To make your online searches more effective, note the correct spelling of "subpoena" and "business." |
