I am looking for any information regarding a tractor trailer accident
in which my grandfather Robert C Lutton was killed. The date was
2/2/1966 and death records shows that he died in San Bernadino CA. He
was 39 years old at the time of death.

Try contacting the California Highway Patrol and see if they have a
record of it. To obtain a copy of an accident report from the
California Highway Patrol
you must fill out and submit form CHP 190 found here:

Yes, This does help. I was also looking for the best way to find any
newspaper articles regarding the accident. Can you help?

I don't know of any online archives that go back that far. Perhaps
your the San Bernadino County library can assist you with articles
that might have been microfilmed. Aside from this shall we consider
your question answered then?
