all we know from available US records), I'm afraid it's impossible for

WILLIAM MOONEY was born about 1785 in Virginia to EDMUND MOONEY (DOB
unknown, died in Hawkins Co. TN). William married Lucinda Hayes on 5
Oct 1804 in Grainger County, Tennessee and remarried to his second
wife, Catherine Pernell, on 18 Oct 1839 in Yalobusha County,
Mississippi.

Children of William and Lucinda were:
Charles H., b. 1814 in VA (maybe Tennessee, the rest we probably born
in Mississippi)
Elizabeth, b. abt 1805
John, b. abt 1808
Alexander, b. abt 1816
Sampson, b. abt 1818
Barton, b. abt 1821
Thomas, b. Sept 29, 1824
Unknown Female, b. abt 1810
Unknown Male, b. abt 1820
Unknown Female, b. about 1820
Lucinda, b. abt 1826

Children of William and Catherine Purnell were:
James, b. abt 1842
Rufus, b. abt 1846
 
Unfortunately the family history does not currently date back to
Ireland as of yet nor is Ireland indicated on any of the existing
records I found.
