Hi im looking for a program similar to robo-form. Although it has
something like 5 million downloads it charges i believe 30$ to use the
program. Is there any browser that has a toolbar that it is included
with netscape/firefox/explorer? It seems like someone should have a
free version somewhere as the software is much less complicated than
some of the other stuff already available on broswers. This program
should
1. Save user ID's and Passwords
2. Have a bookmark type approach to logging on to a site, with no
"typing required".
3. It does not need any of the extra form filling with addresses,
phone number, ect..
4. It should remember and unlimited number of sites.

5. A password generator would be nice but not needed.

When I use mozilla there is no option as far as I can see that says
save forms, just in case it does'nt do it automatically. Which
hapened with my yahoo ID. When I use a bookmark for a site even if
the password is saved, It is going directly to the log-on for this
site but is not filling the forms. Next I have to enter
tools/options/password everytime or most of the time to get my user
name and password out. Then I must copy and paste it into the log-in
area of the site. Maybe it has something to do with accepting
cookies, is this not how mozilla firefox is suppost to work?

Woa, this looks like exactly what I'm looking for almost spec for spec.

Form Fill can store the standard information requested by so many
sites - but only with user permission - and then automatically fill
out the forms.
? Secure personal information and store it for user convenience.
? Clicking "Fill & Submit" instantly enters and submits saved login
information and takes the user directly to a desired page.

Save Login Info for Reuse
? Passcard Manager securely stores login information for preferred
sites with the latest encryption technology.
? When entering login information on a new site, Netscape Browser 8
will ask you if you want to save that information in Passcard for
instant entry the next time you visit there.
? Password Manager records login information, creating a portable
profile that users can always use at frequently visited sites.

Stored Info is Portable
? Form Fill saves form information for regular use on any online forms.
? Passcard can remember all of your site names and pass codes and
automatically enter them every time you go to your favorite sites,
while keeping that information under lock and key.
? Passcard stores login information with the latest encryption
technology for secure use on visited sites

thanks for the help, I'll get on Netscape right away.

I tried netscape for a few days, first problem is netscape does not
alway load webpages correctly, it a tad annoying. The program will
save user-names but, will not save passwords. It won't even recgonize
the field for any of my accounts. It also recognizes just about every
other field on the page, and has no way to delete them from the login
menu. A simple way to solve this would be a right click on the box,
and netscape saves the prompt box, or field name to the www. page? I
always wonder if the people who create this software actually use
it... The flaws are so simple.

alladin looks like a nice program, and it fits the qualifications. I
was really looking for a decent free program though. To even try out
their trial version, you must fill out forms of intent. Are you a
current subscriber, did you fill out the forms?

Firefox has this ability built in....you can set it up to just
remember everything (not secure because anyone can get into your
sites) or with a master password that then unlocks all the rest for
that session.

Have you checked the latest version of FF?

Also you could try open source solution:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/passwordsafe/
this will protect your computer and any programs as well as your web browsing)

or KeePass
http://keepass.sourceforge.net/

Firefox is similar in IE in the way it saves passwords but you still
have to type the websites in, you also must be careful what
information you delete from you computer it is grouped with cookies,
and history.

Keekpass is and exterior password organizer, it just about as useful
as making and excel chart, or word document.

sourceforge.net is also just and exterior program, the same as and
excel chart or word document with better documentation and security.

Thanks for the info though, it looks like firefox is the closest to my needs.

The passwords will NOT get erased with a Clear Private Data function
unless you tell Firefox to include them. The default is to NOT clear
the passwords.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'still have to type the websites in'...

For instance...when I go to a bookmarked site of mine that has a
password I'm in automatically (assuming I have put in my master
password that session).

Have you checked The Wand component in Opera? Here is a flash demo
and then you can decide if you want to download Opera.

Or Netscape has an advanced feature too:
http://browser.netscape.com/ns8/product/formfill.jsp

Again...just not sure what the bookmark/type in website problem is??

Great...hope that works out for you....

I've been thinking of a Netscape switch but I am so addicted to the
Plugins that I have on Firefox that I haven't made it yet. Some of my
plugins will work of course since they are both Mozilla based
browswers but not all of the ones I use.
