If I own (i.e. hold a 100% interest in) a condo or single-family
residence in San Francisco, use it as my primary and indeed sole
residence (i.e. live there over 300 days of the year), but decide I
wish to rent out a room (along with shared access to common rooms), am
I fully exempt from the San Francisco Rent Ordinance (as I
would be from the equivalent in other cities such as Berkeley, CA), or
at least from its restrictions on evictions and rent increases? If
not, to what if any extent am I partially exempt?
