I'm looking for a company that sells automotive parts to retailers. Please allow me to explain further. Right now our company sells computer and related products. We buy from two companies, as do most retailers, Ingram Micro and Tech Data. They sell most brands and types (IBM, Sony, HP, Epson, computers, printers, servers, peripherals, etc.). It's a 'one stop' place for retailers to buy computer products. They also drop ship which is a key issue. I'm looking for similar companies in the automotive industry. A company we can buy car parts from different manufacturers and have them drop shipped, etc. Thank you for your time. Have a great one. |

Johngl -- The automotive industry because of its breadth, has traditionally relied on a 3-step structure that you find in broad retail industries. Manufacturers sell to distributors; distributors often (not always) sell to 'jobbers.' It allows an industry to reach specialized dealers or services that may be too dispersed to service as a distributor. The computer industry has so far avoided this, except in limited cases where 'rack jobbers' and others provide supply or subscription products to major retailers. A suggested Google search strategy to help you identify distribution channels most-appropriate to your product: automotive + distributors automative + jobbers Best regards, Omnivorous-GA |
