I usually do the shopping online. But recently, my credit card has
been stolen... I've heard that there is a payment method called "wire
transfer". Would you please tell me what is it, how can I use it, is
it easy and instant?
Can I use it to pay for sellers that live in foreign countries, such
as: China, Vietnam, Thailand...?
And, is there any way to use "wire transfer" online, or by phone (such
like phone banking)?
Waiting for your answer.

Hi!

Since you specifically said that you do your shopping online, it seems
that wire transfer is not the right option for you. Wire transfers
usually call for an agreement between the parties before a transaction
takes place as they agree on how and in what banks are the funds going
to be transferred.

There are other options for paying online besides using a credit card
but this will depend on the online store where you are buying your
goods. Most sites only accept credit cards.

Can you tell us what sites do you usually go for your online shopping?
Usually the website has a policy on what kind of payment methods they
accept.

Is it ok as well to just list here other payment options out there and
you will just decide for yourself. I can also list some sample
services for these types of payment methods. Would this be ok as
answer?

Thanks!

I love traditional goods of China, Vietnam, Thailand... and others
Asian traditional goods. I found these sites on directory.google.com.
They don't provide any online payment. I have contacted them, and they
said that they can receive bank wire transfer.

?How to Conduct a Wire Transfer?
http://www.ehow.com/how_2817_conduct-wire-transfer.html

This article from the International Money Transfer Guide website
provides a good primer and some commentary about wire transfers.

?The sender pays a bank, post office, or specialist international
money transfers service provider or their agent, to send a wire to the
recipient on his or her behalf. The sender usually pays for the wire
with cash or via EFT.?

?A wire is a good option if the transfer is somewhat urgent, and if a
clear record of the sending of the transfer is required. The sender
must provide the transfer service provider with the name of the
recipient, the recipient?s account number (usually), the recipient?s
bank?s Swift address, or BIC (Bank Identifier Code), or EuorGiro
address, and other required recipient account details. For the sake of
security, the sender should keep a receipt and details of the wire?s
number, date of issue, etc.?

?Senders and recipients should also check that a wire from a
particular bank or other service provider in a proposed currency is
readily acceptable for deposit into the recipient?s bank account, or
postal service savings account, or able to be cashed over the
counter.?
