I have an S-corp - now I want to begin working under the umbrella of another ,larger, s-corp. but we want to retain the name of my current s-corp. They are offering me the option that they will set a DBA using the name of my s-corp and they will add me to their payroll and begin paying me on a commission basis. This is a good idea because it will allow me to keep the look of "business as usual" to my regular clients while saving me all the hassles that are involved with running my own s-corp. the problem is that I don't know if this arrangement will work and I want to have an "escape route" back to my s-corp - is there a way to "freeze" my s-corp and then dissolve it? can another company use the name of my s-corp as a DBA if I give my consent? this is taking place in New York City thanks |
