If he died in England or Wales, you will probably find him through this:

http://www.1837online.com/Trace2web/

BUT ... It's quite a common name and you will have to plough through year-by-year.

It would help if you know approximately when he died.

Then you may need a Death Certificate to make sure that he's the right man.

Unfortunately, there is a small charge for every search and another
for the Certificate if it's needed.

HOWEVER he may not be there if he died outside the England & Wales.

All the Best!

Just had a look at the 1901 Census:

http://www.1901census.nationalarchives.gov.uk/

And the three of them are there:

John (6), Samuel (4) and Hugh (1) ... all born Blackpool.

There is a small charge if you wish to look at the actual entries.

(Not what you asked but thought it might be of interest.)

Thank you. I have the birth certificate but have no info regarding hid
death. I was born in 1941 and did not know of his exsitance so feel
he died pre 1941.

Well, I guess he could have died anytime from 1901 to 1941 or later.

Would you know if he married or had any children?

Or if he served in WWI?

I suggest that you start at Jan 1914 through to Dec 1919. This will
cover the war years and also the Spanish 'flu' epidemic of 1918. Lots
of young lives were lost during these 6 years.

Good luck!

According to the 1901 census as mentioned by probonopublico-ga
the father of the three brothers was Hugh Moss (38, "Stone Mason",
born in Enfield).

In 1902 Hugh Moss, aged 39, died in the district of Fylde.
http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/

Fylde was the registration district for Blackpool:
http://www.fhsc.org.uk/genuki/REG/lan.htm#fyld

Possibly, Hugh (1901, 38) and Hugh (1902, 39) were identical. In this
case knowing what happened to his widow Jane (1901, 31) could help
trace Samuel.
