We have a 92" Leather sofa with 3 22" by 7" individual cushions that are zippered and detachable. The sofa is presentable BUT the top of the cushions are showing 20 years of wear--leather is beginning to crack, is somewhat discolored and very thin--so it is only a matter of time before they are worn out. Is there anyone who could replace the top portion of these cushions? they are seamed on each side so it would appear to be relatively easy to remove the old panel, insert a new piece of leather --dye--and replace. It seems crazy to havea this sofa hauled away for a cost of about $150 when it has many years left. If this is not possible, are there other ways to achieve the same result? I have been conditioning frequently with LEXOL which keeps the leather pliable but it is still cracking a bit | |
