What has happened to the wonderful online word game Wordox, which used
to give me and others many happy hours of play? It was originally
hosted on the uk-flipside site, but I understand the
rights were sold to a French company as part of a larger deal, and the
buyers have for their own baffling
reasons decided to bury it.

Thank you again Hummer.  However, once again I wish it were so simple.
 The Technical Support team no longer exists, so unfortunately no
answers would be forthcoming.  Many people have tried this route
believe me.

I must confess to being completely baffled by Cynthia's claim to have
registered and played.  The server doesn't connect and hasn't done so
for months.

My question would have been better phrased thus:  can you find out
from the French company Groupe ACC whether they ever intend making the
English-language game Wordox (Java format) available again?

Does it *really* make a difference what server you connect to? 
Sheesh, I'd be happy to just PLAY.  You were wondering about Wordox
being "buried" --well, it's not.  It looked like so much fun I
registered --and played.
