I need to know how many employees work for the following cable networks: TBS, ESPN, TNT, USA, Nickelodeon, A&E, TNN, Lifetime, ABC Family, MTV, Discovery, AMC, VH1, Weather Channel, Food Network, Travel Channel, CNN/FN, National Geographic, ESPNews, Tech TV, Oxygen, Game Show, Golf Channel, Speed, CMT. If you can answer most or all of these I will be so excited! However, I need to know the employees per network. For example, if you go to cnn.com it will say they have a staff of over 4,000 worldwide- this is NOT what I need!! CNN as a network has about 2200 employees. Of course, be sure to include the sources of information. Thanks! | |

Dear Chelsea, Here are the number of employees are self reported by own networks to OneSource Information Services, http://www.onesource.com/index.htm, between December 2001 and the present. ESPN Holding - 1500 employees ESPN Inc - 1770 employees USA Cable (NY; all-entertainment;sci-fi) - 550 employees Cable USA (NE) - 145 employees USA Network - 1600 employees Nickelodeon Direct - 50 employees TNN Productions - 450 employees Lifetime TV - 149 employees ABC - 210 employees Family Stations - 250 employees MTV Networks - 4550 employees MTV Networks Latin America - 125 employees Discovery Channel - 100 employees AMC - could it be wamc that you are looking for? WAMC - 55 employees Weather Channel - 700 employees Television Food Network - 175 employees Travelers Cable TV - 57 employees Oxygen Media - 150 employees Game Show - 120 employees I could not find the requested information for the following networks: TBS,TNT, A&E, VH1, Travel Channel, CNN/FN, National Geographic, ESPNews, Tech TV, Golf Channel, Speed, CMT. These seem to be owned by much bigger entities, which you may already have information on, and for which it is much more difficult to find results. Other databases that may give you similar information are below, and can usually be freely accessed through business school libraries of universities. web.lexis-nexis.com/universe http://www.fisonline.com/ I hope that this is helping you, Claudietta |
