Hi there,
I use pay-per-click search engines to promote my business, and have
put quite a few hours of my own research into figuring out which are
the best to use. I have left out Google AdWords, which is rather good,
but you already know about it. These are my Top 4, plus a Spanish
language one which probably suits your needs the best.
FindWhat
http://www.findwhat.com
FindWhat has many alliances, and will bring in more visits to your
site than anywhere else, except Overture and Google AdWords. Per click
it is generally much cheaper than those two. I have used them for
several years, and I have found managing my bids to be very easy and
efficient, and their customer relations are the best I've found on the
Internet.
BuscaMundo
http://www.buscamundo.com/
The only Spanish language PPC search engine I have come across. I have
not used them, but I have used their sister site 7Search. I don't
think they get a lot of traffic, but that could work out to your
advantage, for it is cheap to be listed at #1. Because the visitors
are Spanish speaking, you have already reached your target audience.
From my good experiences with 7Search, I suggest giving them a shot.
Overture
http://www.overture.com
They are easily the biggest PPC search engine, and their results
appear everywhere - Yahoo!, MSN, Netscape, AltaVista, Lycos/HotBot and
many more. They are very professional. I used these guys for years,
when they were called GoTo. I stopped using them when the minimum bid
became 5 cents, with $20 minimum monthly spend, because I was (and
still am) spending 2 or 3 cents per click at the most.
ePilot

Kanoodle

If the number of hits for your keyword is too overwhelming using
Overture or FindWhat, try either of these guys - bids are cheaper
still and resulting traffic is lower. But you will get visits. Bidded
keywords appear mostly in meta-search engines like Mamma and Dogpile.
In my experience it pays to use several different PPC search engines
in unison. If you are using quality sites like those listed above, the
bottom line is how much you pay per click - a good site to help select
the cheapest by keyword is:

and Overture

Thanks for asking this question. I am concerned at the number of
small-scale PPC search engines that make extraordinary promises, but
after giving them some funds you never get a hit. For me Brainfox is
an example of this. Despite all their claims, my site is number one
for a popular keyword and I get one hit a month. This Open Directory
category will give you an idea of how many there are - avoid most in
this list:
