When I was a kid I remember reading a book about two frogs. They lived in a
forest/swamp type place and had a variety of animal friends. I believe one was
always grumpy and the other always happy. There were a bunch of these books,
kinda like theres a bunch of clifford books, but for the life of me I cant
remember what the series was called! What are the names of these books and
frogs?

From your description, I believe that the book series you are looking for
is "Frog and Toad" by Arnold Lobel. The main characters of the books are Frog,
who is friendly, and Toad who is Grumpy. There are four books in the collection:

Frog and Toad Are Friends
Frog and Toad Together
Days with Frog and Toad
Frog and Toad All Year
