About 1 1/2 years ago on the Delilah radio program, she played an easy
listening song which was sung by a male with lyrics about how his
friend or lover was his "road home" or "road back home." Someone told
me they thought it was a CD by a female newcomer out in LA and that
the male singer I had heard was actually just a "guest" artist on that
CD, but I'm not sure if that information is correct or not. Thanks
for your help.

Hello gohawkeyes-ga,

I believe the song you are looking for is ?I Know You by Heart? by
L.A. singer/songwriter Katrina Carlson. It appears on her 2003 CD
?Untucked?. She performs the Duet with Benny Mardones. You can hear
a clip of the song at the following link (Track 9):

?The album's centerpiece is a gorgeous love song titled "I Know You by
Heart," which she sings in duet with Benny Mardones (who had a hit
back in the '80s with "Into the Night"), but other highlight tracks
include a subtly cynical rewrite of the Beatles on "New Shoes," the
melodically cathartic and faintly country-flavored "Go-To Girl," and
an unidentified track hidden after the brief, operatic outro at the
end of the album. Very nice stuff indeed. Rick Anderson?

You can hear a clip of the Christmas version of the song and learn

D) I Know You By Heart you're my very best friend
K) I know if I let you back, it would all start again?
