Just wanted to clarify, are you asking about staff management software
in the States?
Also, to get the overall "big picture" - are you looking to find this
information with the purpose of purchasing some software to manage
your workforce, or are you considering creating your own and want to
find out about your potential competitors?

Correct - staff management, otherwise known as workforce management,
types of software products - but with the main emphasis on
time-and-attendance.  I am a current software vendor trying to
evaluate both competition and size of this market space.
