I purchased a Lexmark X1150 (printer, scanner, photocopier) as a present for someone who does not have a computer, but who simply requires a photocopier. Unfortunately, having unpacked the X1150, I notice you can only photocopy if the printer is connected to a computer. Is there a way around this? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. |

I have used the dell version the x1150 (lexmark makes printers for dell) which requires the use of your computer's memory to process anything due to not having any memory on board the all in one unit. Unfortunately there is no way around this, atleast with this unit. There are several All in one units that will do this, I currently have a epson cx6400 which will do what you are looking to do and more. Sorry I couldnt have given you better news but, if you can i would return it and go for a model up or get an HP or Epson, you wont be dissapointed. Aaron |

Hi, there is no way to get around this. I would return that and go buy a new photocopier that is just for photocopying. If you want to buy an all-in-one, it works with a computer. You can get some cheap photocopiers that work great. |
