My cut and paste command used to work with my Microsoft wifeless
"intellimouse 2.0 Explorer".  It still does the cut and past with
regular programs like word, excel, etc.  However it doesn't work in IE
6.  My other computers work, so i know that it can work it's just that
this one doesn't.

try uninstalling and reinstalling the intellimouse software, and
rebooting, then rebind the buttons with the intellimouse program, see
if that does the trick
