Question ID: 450857
I have three digital photographs that form a panoramic - I know that I
took them without changing the zoom on the camera, but neither of the
panoramic stitcher programs I have (ArcSoft Panorama Maker and
Photoshop) make anything of it. If I line the pictures up myself in
Photoshop they do indeed seem to fit together in a rather odd way.
Perhaps I tilted the camera whilst taking them, or perhaps the
pictures have been fish-eyed by the fact that some of the frame is
very close and some is very far away.

I know that I moved the camera down a little each frame as I panned -
I don't mind if the finished result someone comes up with has this
"step" built into it.

I've run out of ideas, and I'd love to get this photo. Help!

I suspect it's quite obvious, but just to save you having to work it
out, the order the photos from the zipfile go is (left to right) 1355,
1354, 1353.

Dear pugwash75-ga;

I personally took your project to LASTING TREASURES PHOTOGRAPHY who
was delighted to be of service. I watched as the transformation took
place and, as you predicted, it was a very difficult and tedious job
indeed. Because of slightly differing angles, some significant color
inconsistencies and composition of all the elements in a three
photographs you probably would have spent the rest of your life trying
unsuccessfully to get a sticher program to automatically bind these
together into one seamless photograph for you. This was definitely a
surgical job that had to be done by hand by a professional. The end
result, of course, was a very skillfully stitched panorama photo.
Amazing isn?t it?

I hope you find that my services exceed your expectations. If you have
any questions about my services or require any additional attention to
the finished product please post a clarification request prior to
rating the answer. Otherwise, I welcome your rating and your final
comments and I look forward to working with you again in the near
future. Thank you for bringing your question to us.

That's bizarre. I saw the entire photo online last night and it looked
fabulous, but I see now what you're saying. Very odd.

Direct contact between researchers and customer is prohibited so give
me a bit and let me contact the studio and have the image reloaded.
What I hope to do is to also have this loaded as a zip file for you to
download, which will make it much easier for you to get and it will
also, to a large extent, preserve some of the resolution.

Hold on a bit and I'll get back to you.

I contacted the studio and they are not due to reopen for another
couple of hours. I was told that this will be the first thing on their
agenda this morning. I've no doubt that you will be truly amazed by
what you see. It's worth the wait.

It's a great shot on your part too I might add.

More in a bit.

Ok, try the image again (you may need to refresh your browser to see
it). I think now you can see it in it's full glory

In the meantime I am trying to see if we can get a high resolution zip
file on the server for you to download.

Still working on it. Back in a bit.

Ok, here we go. Let's try this. It's a bigger version of the picture
(higher resolution suitable for printing or having printed somewhere).
Save these to your computer:

(Note the capital "M" is the bigger photo, and the lower case "m" is
the smaller photo)

You can also "try" this. I hope it works:

I'm anxious to hear what you think.
