Is there a web sit that I can go to that legally shows salaries for

YMCA.

Hello chefken-ga,

The salaries reported for the senior executives of the Hartford, CT
YMCA on their 2002 filings to the IRS were:

Branch Executive Director -- $99,350/ $90,513/ $72,000
(3 individuals are listed with this title at three different salaries)

VP, Development -- $90,769

VP Human Res-------$$80,452

The report -- as well as reports for thousands of non-profits across
the country -- can be accessed at GuideStar.com:

http://www.guidestar.org/index.jsp

Enter [ ymca hartford ] to begin the process of pulling up the
documents for this organization.

GuideStar will take you to a summary page of data, where you can click
on the link for the group's "Form 990", which is the financial form
filed each year with the IRS. The reports generally include the
salaries for senior executives of the organization.

In order to access the form, you will need to register with GuideStar.
The site will walk you through the simple steps for registering.
There is no charge to register.

Once registered, you can open up the Form 990 for the YMCA in
Hartford, or for other organizations of interest. You will find them
chock full of fascinating details, I'm sure.

By the way, most non-profit organizations that I am familiar with will
give you this sort of information right over the phone, since they
know it is publicly available anyway. They will generally send you a
copy of their Form 990 as well, if you ask for it.

I trust this is the information you needed. But before rating this
answer, please let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
Just post a Request for Clarification, and I'll be happy to assist you
further.

All the best,
