I was sold a newspaper subscription by a young girl. It was some
time ago, but I think it was one of those things where she was earning
points, or some such thing. What disturbed me about the way she was
selling them, however, was that I had to pay in a particular way in
which I wound up giving her a check and making a phone call as well.
All highly irregular, but I was assured that the subscription I was
buying would not be self-renewing, and the paperwork confirmed that
this was the case.
And now, here I am with a Collections letter from North Shore
Agency, Inc., supposedly collecting FOR the Los Angeles Daily News, saying
that I resubscribed. I did find a letter marked as if it were from the
Los Angeles Daily News with the same misspelling of my name, offering
me a
subscription WITH auto-renewal.
Has the FBI been contacted about North Shore Alliance, and who is
doing their mailing for them, and why hasn't the FBI stopped that
outfit too? And what is the Los Angeles Daily News doing to protect
the other victims, since they have a long list of our names? |
