I understand a remote car starter works within the free range band (around 300 to 450 MHz). I also know that you must associate your FOB with your remote car starter, so your neighbor won?t start your vehicle and vice versa. I would like to know exactly how they work, i.e., the starter and the FOB together. What protocol are they using to communicate (details)? My interest is how the RF signal differs from one manufacturer to the other and from one FOB to the other. This may include Amplitude, frequency, frequency hoping and/or encryption. Also, please provide details of the FOB signals for as many remote car starters as possible. Additionally, please provide names of ?Remote Car Starter Manufactures? and their corporate addresses. "Contact names wherever possible". |
