What to Charge/pricing for minutes of recorded time?

Clarification of Question by lwink01-ga on 04 Jan 2005 14:42 PST
Just starting digital dictation and researching what to charge for
minutes of recorded time and how to best log total minutes of
dictation. In windows explorer folder, it only shows kb; I have to
open each file (Start/Stop Universal hardware/software)to see how many
minutes. I would probably need some type of software to convert kb to
minutes (like in excel)automatically--like a spreadsheet that updates.
 : ) THANKS!

The simple way of doing it would be start logging while you are
transcibing the minutes of dictation. If you are using the same
recorders that is the type of the recorder then the compression and
conversion rate would be the same for all files. Hope that helps.
With that once you have established a conversion rate of your own you
can use an xl sheet to convert the kb into mins. hope it helps.
