I watch Wheel Of Fortune at a local watering hole where a shot of liquor is awarded to the first patron to correctly guess the puzzle. Recently a long-time customer has begun to win virtually every puzzle with only 1 or 2 letters displayed. Naturally we suspect he gets the answers ahead of time. Is there a site/source to get Wheel Of Fortune puzzle answers before the 6:30CT Houston airtime? |

Hello. Yes, there are indeed web sites on which someone could learn Wheel of Fortune puzzle answers in advance. A web page at daver.freeshell.org appears to have all the solutions for all Wheel of Fortune puzzles at least two days in advance. See: http://daver.freeshell.org/wheel.html That page seems to be the most comprehensive, but there are a few other possibilities. A web site called TVGameshows.net posts daily updates for game shows, including Wheel of Fortune. For example, from today's update: "Jan. 4, 2005 Instantly, Stout came up with WALK IT OFF. http://tvgameshows.net/ Also, Wheel Fortune has fan messageboards on which solutions are often posted by fans, as the see them (which could be hours before the show is broadcast in Houston: http://boards.sonypictures.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?&forumid=36 http://boards.sonypictures.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?&forumid=31 ----------------- search strategy: "tv game shows" wheel "wheel of fortune solutions" I hope this helps. | |

Hi Wheelwinner, Have I got an idea for you? :) If the regular is indeed "cheating", have the barman place a bet with him/her prior to the televised time. Free drinks for the night if he/she gets it right first time again tonight. If not he/she has to shout the bar. A sure bet?? Ahahahahahahaha. Pre-record an old show, with all other regulars in on the game. As soon as the game starts, shout the answer in unison. The barman will adjudicate of course! Phil |

wheelwhiner, I like silver's idea, but why tape an old show? Go to juggler's links, get the present night's answers, and before the first spin, ....5...4...3...2...1...(all in unison) ----THE ANSWER!!! Let us know how it goes. And BTW, someone should clue in the bartender, if s/he doesn't already know what you all suspect by now... no more free shots on WOF puzzles... |

Cynthia, Of course, that's a much simpler and better approach. That would provide more credibility too as it's the actual televised show. Gotta love devious minds don't ya? Hey Wheelwhiner .. you will do this won't you? Don't forget to let us know the result. Phil |

Wednesday I arrived at the bar early with that night's answers printed on small sheets of paper, one for each of my accomplices. We plotted to allow our cheating colleague to win the first puzzle (which he did with just 2 letters exposed). From that point on we each took turns at "winning" the puzzles when only the first letter was exposed. Our "cheater" seemed dumbfounded, and actually accused us of having the answers beforehand. By the 5th puzzle he figured out our pattern and he shouted out the answer: SPORTS ILLUSTRATED'S SPORTSMAN OF THE YEAR with only 1 letter exposed. Of course he tied with our accomplice and I thought a war would break out. It was eventually resolved peacefully. At the end of the show someone collected our cheat sheets and presented them to our victim suggesting that we all play fair in the future. He continued to act shocked and annoyed that someone had the audacity to compromise the integrity of our friendly bar game. He also repeatedly indicated that he felt it was necessary to present this evidence to the bar's owner who would undoubtedly discontinue sponsoring the Wheel prizes. Tonight I again came prepared with cheat sheets, but did not distribute them immediately. I was pleasantly surprised to see that our "cheater" did not even attempt to win any of the first 6 puzzles. However on the 7th, he did shout out the winning answer, but only after a reasonable number of letters were exposed. At least temporarily, our plan seems to have worked. Thanks folks for your help in restoring some integrity to our friendly drinking game. |

Hi Wheelwinner, Well done. Yet the idiot still claims to be innocent? Sounds like you lot had a great night in exposing the fraud. You carried it out with diplomacy. Again well done and thanks for sharing the laugh. Phil |
