Promised my wife a luxury crusie to Alaska this summer. Small boat -
inland waterways - nature side-trips - great food. How can I find my
best selection and best value deal?

luxury for me means large stateroom & bath with fine appointments,
balcony, excellent service with high standards - not just a
reputation. thanks.

want the white-glove. Would enjoy side trips but sedate comfort
prefered over blue-jean jovality.

Having sailed Alaska, and as a 27-year veteran of the travel industry,
I must ask that you qualify the term "luxury". There are several
lines, some you may never had heard of, and some with which you're
most likely familiar, who offer products/services which you might be
seeking.

Please clarify you're personal definition of 'luxury'.

I see you haven't had much response.

Let me opine further...
There are luxury lines in Alaska, but their focus is NOT on
eco-tourism as much as it is moving bodies with white-glove service.

There are a couple of small lines which offer incredible nature
experiences, and that have larger staterooms, but no where near
'white-glove' service. These lines are what I refer to as "blue-jean"
cruises - no casino, no fancy restaurants (although great food), no
pretense other than wanting to explore all the splendour that is
Alaska.

Which of those two scenarios suits you, personally?
