Personal property brokers are exempt from registering as a
telemarketer in most of the states including California as they are
considered as Supervised Financial institution as stated in the
California Business and Professions Code section 17511.
Does the definition of personal property broker include a mortgage
broker? Will a mortgage broker have to register as a telemarketer for
lead generation?
