Where can I find a picture of the 20 mg tablet of tamoxifen citrate manufactured by Rhoxal? The prescription I have was ordered from a Canadian pharmacy called Point Douglas Pharmacy in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and is labeled "Rhoxal-Tamofen 20 mg Tamoxifen Citrate 20 mg". |

Hi csw-ga, I've looked for a picture of Tamofen or Tamoxifen and have been unable to find one on the net. I do know the Physicians Desk Reference (PDR) has pictures of all drugs and their generics. I have seen PDR's for sale in bookstores and seen them on the shelf at the library in the reference section. A medical library would most certainly have a PDR on hand. I did find an address and phone number for RhoxalPharma the manufacturers of the drug you purchased. Rhoxalpharma Inc. 4600 THIMENS BOULEVARD Saint-Laurent Quebec H4R 2B2 Canada Tel.:514-856 8442; 514-856-8500 Their website is still under construction and offers no information. www.rhoxalpharma.com I wish I could be of more help, csw-ga. Regards, cavechick-ga |

Thanks, cavechick, for your advice. I, too, had thought of the PDR, but then discarded the idea thinking that perhaps they carried only medications sold in the U.S. But I will check at our library now that you mentioned it! Sometimes we couch potatoes think that EVERYTHING is findable on the net, if only we know were to find it! --csw |

Look for the Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties, the Canadian equivalent of the PDR. |

MWalcoff, as far as I can tell, it is not possible for a layman to access images on the website of the Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties, but thank you for your input. I DID call Rhoxal as Cavechick suggested, and they gave me a very detailed description of the physical characteristics of the pill which, by the way, Rhodeapharm (sp?) manufactures, and they (Rhoxalpharma) only distribute. Since my quest has been satisfied, I am closing out the question. Thanks to both of you. --csw |
