I am attempting to find the title of a movie and potentially a place
to pick up the same. Here is a brief synopsis"
The movie is set on venus(or some other world) where it is always
raining. There is a school there. It only stops raining once every so
many years and there is a school there where there are children have
never seen a day when it was not raining. The day that it stops
raining is today and one little girl is very much looking forward to
it. Unfortunately some mean schoolmates lock her in a closet as the
rain stops and she never gets to see what it looks like when it isn't
raining.
I think this ran as an independent film on Showtime or HBO back in the 80s. Thanks. |

By the way the movie is based on All Summer in a Day by Bradbury. Good
luck finding it. Thanks.

Howdy aegeas-ga,
I have located a company in Canada that sells "All Summer in a Day" in VHS
format, but it is pricey at $49.00 not including shipping. I will try a
call to them in the morning for availability, shipping charges, etc.

Howdy aegeas-ga,
I have sent email to the company in question. If they do indeed stock the
movie in VHS (again, as they do not list it on DVD, it is doubtful they have
it in that format, but I also asked them for that information) did you want
me to post that information as an Answer to your question? Thanks!

Not good news, aegeas-ga.
Seems the company in Canada does not have the U.S. distribution rights,
but they gave the name of the U.S. company that does. They, however,
catering to educational (schools, etc.) viewings of the movie, charge
even bigger amounts for the video. $89.95 + 10% shipping, etc. or around
$98.95 total. Considering the video is 25 minutes long, this is almost
$4.00 a minute. Back to you.
