FP, It's my pleasure to meet you. Yes, there were more than one team, called the St. Louis Browns. The most famous one, was after 1901, but before that there had been others. The 2nd link you provide, http://www.baseballlibrary.com/baseballlibrary/ballplayers/S/St_Louis_Browns.stm scroll towards the bottom. Highlighted in yellow, "From the Baseball Chronology", will show many references to the earlier St. Louis Browns. Thanks for looking at one of my questions! bluestreak |
