Question ID: 45281
I need a true-type font that is equivalent to the post-script, Type-1
font called Trajan. Trajan is an all-caps font, which I would prefer
in a True Type equivalent, but is not necessary. It is necessary,
however that the font be as close a duplicate as possible. There is
one out there that is similar, but the serifs are too rounded. I need
this for a logo, hence the need for an exact match.

Dear jennigiki:

Thank you for your question. Trajan is a font created by Linotype [
http://www.linotypelibrary.com/ ]. As such, it is under copyright and
is not publically available for free. I have found a site where you
can purchase and immediately download the TrueType version of the
font. It costs $21 for the download.

It is available here:
http://www.myfonts.com/PurchaseOptions?familyid=4465

I have also found a Macintosh shareware version of the font,
compressed in .sit format, here:
http://www.ianmc.com.au/downloads/Mac%20Shareware%20Fonts/Fonts%20S-Z/?101

You can open it in Windows using Stuffit Expander, which is available
below:
http://www.stuffit.com/expander/winindex.html

Google Search Strategy:

    trajan truetype
    ://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&safe=off&q=trajan+truetype&btnG=Google+Search

I hope this helps. If you need any clarifications, please don't
hesitate to ask. I would be more than happy to assist you further.

Best Regards,
