I wanta try setting up a vpn however the incomming ports vpn connections normaly go over are closed off by the firewall and there is not a dang thing I can do to change that. I was able to find a bunch of open incoming ports so I figure all I gotta do is somehow tell it to use the ports I found where open insted of the normal ones. but how the heack do I do that?? |

I suggest opening the vpn port on the firewall. Is this at a company? Are the Admin? If not ask him/her. |

it's at school. and yes I have tried to get the ports open. I've tried every option to convince them to open the ports. they all either failed or cost to much. isn't there any way I can tell it to use another port insted? |

is my price set to low for this or is there simply no way to use a non standard port with VPN's? I've already got comptia's A+ and going to get network+ and xp client when I get the cash to take the tests. so I have a pretty good Idea how to use these type programs. and judging by the lack of any way I can find and your lack of giving me one sugests that using the OS verson doesn't work for this purpose. is there a 3rd party program that can do the job and not cost as much as the windows server it's going to be put on? |
