what can I do about an ipod that went into a clothes dryer? It works
but the sound is distorted (tinny)

Not a great deal I?m afraid unless you live near me. Strange it should
have gone that way though. Did the phones go in the dryer too? That I
would understand. If so, simple answer.

Send it back to Apple, tell them that it quit working without
supplying any more detail. I know others who have done this (though
not with the dryer) and had their things replaced.
