Hi kywife,
If the date of the divorce is LESS THAN six months before the date of
the new marriage, you will be required to bring proof of the divorce
to the County at the time you apply for the new marriage license. If
the date of the divorce is LONGER than six months prior, all you need
to know is the date of the divorce.
STATE REQUIREMENT (ALL COUNTIES):
Second Marriage: You need to know the date (mm/dd/yy) and how the last
marriage ended. If it was within the last 6 months, you will need to
bring proof of the divorce that can be left with the Clerk.
