I have a Sony in car stereo system and recently bought second hand the
sony recommended compatible CD Changer which is model CDX-51. when I
connected them up, the error message E-99 flashes on the head unit. I
have reset the head unit, and checked all the leads. Please can you
tell me what this code means and how to rectify the fault?

Hi, thanks for that but I found that chat thread and it doesn't really
help very much as it is very general and just advises to take the
thing to a repair shop. A sony techical manual for the CDX-51 would
be a great help, but I can't find one on the net. Maybe you could
help with that?

Thanks
