What are the best programming tool(s) for the purpose of programming video games and robotics for a 16 year old who wants to get started in programming. In other words, what's the state of the art teaching tools (book, software, online courses, etc.). |

I'd start with basic. He/She can enroll in the local Junior College and take programing courses. When I was 16 that is what I did. And friends of my kids have done the same thing. The units he/she earns can be used for High School credit. |

By the way, my little brother started just this way, writing computer games on my Dad's Radio Shack computer, never went to college, and now live in a multi-million dollar house overlooking Long Beach Harbor. He now programs in his office at home and spents most of his time with his kids. I hate my brother... So..... |
