I had a book once that claimed to have the secret formula of coke, the
secret herbs and spices in KFC, the history behind the name of Dr.
Pepper and plenty of other silly stuff I can't remember.
I am looking for books with fun, whacky, interesting facts like this
(but not necessisaily limited only to food topics), especially THIS
BOOK, and any other books/WEBSITES with fun facts and trivia (such as
"did you know a woman blinks almost twice as much as a man", whacky
stuff like that.
Thanks,
Dr. C

Hello Dr. Crutchfield,

Thank you for a fun question!

According to the following posting, the book Big Secrets by William
Poundstone contains the secret recipes you mentioned in your question.

?Actually, I have a book at home called "Big Secrets" which gives the
secret ingredient to many of the foods we eat. For instance, those 11
herbs and spices of KFC? They're all common stuff(no biggie, except
for a little msg). It also explains Coke's secret "7x" ingredient, but
spectroanalysis comes up inconclusive(but we know it is a hydrocarbon
complex!).
And I do believe it has Dr Pepper's formula in there too?
