How do I bring my van (Toyota Sienna 2001) to Shanghai? What is the import tariff for used cars? Do I get any tax break if the car will be used for my small business? I'm an US citizen and plan to move to Shanghai later this year. |

I hope this will help answer some of your questions. The importation of used vehicles to China is still forbidden. Although there are case-by-case exceptions for antiques and diplomats, it is currently illegal to import used vehicles into China. However, the following report provides answers to frequently asked questions on the subject. http://strategis.ic.gc.ca/epic/internet/inimr-ri.nsf/en/gr116624e.html |
