Where do I find out if some certificates which were found in a box of
my Grandmother's belongings are worth any money. They were purchased
in 1928 from a group called The Co-Operators of America know as the
Co-operative Societ of America. It is stated that it is a "common law
trust for national co-operation, General Offices in Chicago, IL"

Hello ceyrangelior-ga,

The Co-operative Society of America was founded in 1919 in Chicago.
You can purchase a report on the history of the cooperative at an
online stock certificate search service for $40. The service provides
information for people in your precise situation -- trying to
determine if old stock certificates have any current value.

The report will cover the history of the company, including whether it
dissolved (in which case the certificates are not worth anything,
except perhaps to a collector), or whether it became part of another
company (in which case, the certificates may still have value).

Please be aware that the $40 fee for the report is above and beyond
any fee paid here at Google Answers.

Let me know if I should post the information about the service as an
answer to your question.

And good luck....!
