A Mr. Peter Crouch is purported to have done this, however I can find
no proof, only a mention of it:

...on 12th september 1988 who limboed under a bar 8 inches high?
..."Mr Crouch was only 7 in 1988 & i believe he has a rare genetic
make-up that meant he was 6 inches tall until his tenth birthday,
where he suddenly shot up to a staggerring 6 foot 6, prompting his
gran (amongst others) to declare "eeeeeh, hasn't he grown" ..."

I was unable to find anything beyond this. Maybe someone else will have more luck.

Thanks Cynthia, but Peter Crouch is an English footballer. I think
you've stumbled on a facetious answer to the same question on a quiz
message board. Thanks answerfinder, but I had also noticed that 8
inches, although low, was some way higher than the limbo record
appearing in an earlier Guinness Book of I wondered if
the answer was someone also famous in another field.
There is no answer at this time.

Nothing for this date, but "The Guinness Book of World Records states:
March 02 1991 Dennis Walston, alias King Limbo, passed under a flaming
bar that was just six inches off the floor in Kent, WA."
Perhaps this was an earlier record?
