Hi All,

I've got a Dell PC (PowerEdge server, built in 2001), which I need a
voltage regulator module for. Specifically, it seems I need Dell Part
number 7649D or
11GEF or a Delta Products - 05s2020a-4 or a VXI - 073-20770-01 rev.7
or HP part number 0950-2837 .

There are some VRMs on ebay for fairly low prices, but not one that
matches these exactly (e.g.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=11214&item=5742138959&rd=1
is pretty close). So my question is, how specific does it have to be?
Are there different shaped sockets, or are they all the same? If
the latter, do I just need one with the same voltage ranges?

Thanks,

JM

Can you provide details for the power supply requirements of the Dell?
The one you linked to only provides 5 volts and no details of current
or input voltage. To be honest, it is difficult to advise without
seeing the thing in hand but you can buy new if you want to be sure,
at the bottom of the page :-

.... and the link on that site for only the board :-

...for $90 (previously $148) at sale price. Plus$9 Postage.
