1. Assume we want to transmit 16 KB of data across a network with 4
four 100 Km links (and 3 switches). Assume the speed of light is 2 ?
108 m/s and that the each link's bandwidth is 2 MB/sec. We can
consider the transmission complete when we receive acknowledgement
that the data is received. Data is transmitted at each switch the
moment a packet is completely received. Compare the transmission times
when 16 packets of 1 KB are sent versus 4 packets of 4 KB are sent.

Please not that the speed of light here is 2 x 10 raise to the power 8.
